Default When is the best time of day for mapping JQ/FA?

I want to enter JQ/FA for mapping purposes without completely screwing up someones match.
When or how would be the best way of going about this?

I thought you could only enter those missions if there were enough people on both sides... Has something changed since the days GWGuru had a thread where people would organise exploring missions to JQ/FA?

On another note: You don't really need to explore those areas fully. It's enough to hug the starting areas but exploration while playing the mission is really easy. There's enough leeway that you don't have to scrape every wall. Just run through the map a few times and gg.

The matches are not that urgent. This is low level PvP and usually the players screw up the match by targeting the wrong shrines. Just get into a group and explore to your heart's content.

NOTE: If you wait for a slow time of day, you won't get a group on both sides - so no match.

Just wait until a the side your on has a losing streak. That way someone will e-rage at you no matter what you do, so it doesn't really matter if youre contributing or not.

The best time for doing JQ/FA mapping is when A) On Zaishen Combat days, or B) When it's double rep for FA/JQ weekend. There are more people on those days.

You don't need to be much of a burden on your team because you're mapping. Just do your best to cover different areas of the map as the battle progresses.

The JQ/FA area's aren't needed to get the carthographer title in factions. I played a few matches on both sides and so got bout 90% of the area's with contributing and without annoying my teammates.

Cause this isn't the first time people are talking bout mapping these area's I do hope WoC makes an explorable version of these area's so people can map it without having to enter a PvP match

Prime time for bots usually begins after noon eastern time. You could be the only person on a team. You'll fit right in if you screw up one of those synch matches.

I just need to point out that what Darcy is completely incorrect, there are more than enough Rank 9+ players (with a few 12 - 14's) playing FA. I myself play daily, every single day under my alter-ego Alexis Pbs Nubs, Alexis Monks Lol, Alexis Pwnz, Rage At Alexis, etc. If you go into FA thinking that it's not all too serious people like myself will eat you alive regardless of which side. Just felt that this needed to be said because there are skilled players in FA and long-time FA players that do this as their main form of Kurzick Faction and take this form of PvP more seriously than most people would. Luxon's have the lowest population in FA so if you're going to map go on the Luxon side and map it so the queues take a shorter amount of time.

What darcy said is true, this is low end PvP full of bugs and 2+ bots on each side.

Bring VoW of silence with some anti cripple and feel free to hop once on luxon and once on kurzick to map.

EDIT: When mapping FA, play kurzick, if you bring a running build most luxon will chase after you never killing you, therefore helping the team.

Also if you map on lux side you'll get some e-peeners reporting you.

I wonder if it would be possible to organize two parties of 8 who wanted to map, from players here on Guru? And is there a method someone could explain for how we can synch up to ensure we're in this together?

I'm completely clueless as to how JQ/FA work. I know zero about PvP or GvG stuff in GW. But I would still like to get these areas mapped WITHOUT causing trouble to anyone else - whether I actually need them for my title or not, you know?

just do what i do map, kill, map, kill. it takes you a few tomes on each side to get it mapped but least now you're being useful and people wont report you.

My suggestion for mapping FA if you haven't been there before, is just to play the game properly a few times; you'll uncover most of it that way anyway.

And if you find yourself in a fairly one-sided match, you can take the opportunity then to scrape some edges a bit more. It's not like you'll make a difference to the end result in those situations anyway.

Dear God, mapping in general to get that title was a nightmare. I had to coax random people in some nearby towns to join me for Fort Aspenwood. Sounded like an idiot, but managed to get the 5 minutes I needed to get a match going. Pissed off one of the players by doing that

Oh well!
